Handy Tips To Help Your Succeed In The Forex Market ? world ...

Before embarking on the turbulent waters of the Forex market you should be certain about your goals and limitations. How much do you want to make? How much are you willing to risk? These are questions to which you should have firm, well-defined answers long before you dip your toes into the Forex market.

When you first start out in Forex trading, be sure that you have picked a reputable company. Too many first time traders end up getting ripped off by unscrupulous people in the financial market. If a company offers profits that seem too high for the amount of risk to you, it?s probably a scam.

When pursuing forex trading, you should aim to ignore conventional wisdom. As surprising as this may sound, you should never take anything that is stated in the financial media very seriously. Very often, they are wrong. Instead, do your own homework. If you feel comfortable with a trade after researching, go for it.

Make a trading plan and stick to it. Even if you are only dabbling in the Forex market, you should have a plan, a business model and time-tables charting your goals. If you trade without these preparations, you leave yourself open to making aimless, undirected trades. When you trade as the mood strikes you, you will frequently pile up losses and rarely reap satisfactory profits.

A great forex trading tip is to be aware of your financial needs. You never want to allocate too much money to forex if you can?t afford it. You also want to have enough capital if you can tolerate the risks. It?s all about knowing where you stand financially.

A good way to earn success in Forex is to start out by practicing with a demo account. This will allow you to learn the ropes, understand the currencies and form a strategy, all without having to enter a single penny into a live account. And the best part is that there?s no difference in the way the market operates from the demo to the real.

Beginners coming to Forex in hopes of making big profits should always start their trading efforts in big markets. Lesser-known currencies are appealing, primarily because you assume no one else is really trading them, but start with the bigger, more popular currencies that are far less risky for you to bet on.

A lot of business opportunities will require that you take on a partner to share the financial load, but forex is not one of these opportunities. You do not want to have a business partner in forex, unless we?re speaking about someone who is strictly investing money. Two account users is a really terrible idea. You can lose your money in an instant.

Beginner Forex traders should start out trading the most liquid and widely trade pairs on the market. This will get you great experience and allow you to have a good introduction to the trading world, without exceeding any risk threshold you have set up for yourself. It is a method used by beginner and advanced traders alike.

When trading in the foreign exchange market, trade for the present, not for the future. The market in its current state may not be the same as the market in the future, so concentrate on currency pairs at the current moment. Also, don?t add to positions that are in the red.

When it comes to Forex trading, do not work with countries that are going through political or economic problems. By dealing with this country, you are playing with fire because other problems in the country can effect the value of their currency, which can cause you to lose a significant amount of funds.

In order to achieve success in the foreign exchange market it is very important to trade based on logic and reason. Do not treat the foreign exchange market like a casino. This is one of the basic errors new traders make. If you want to gamble Forex trading is not for you.

Place stop loss orders so you don?t lose all your money and you can have a life too. This way you don?t need to be glued to the computer screen to protect your investment. Think of the unthinkable: what happens when your computer freezes or your internet connection becomes unreliable? Stop loss orders can protect you from significant losses when these events occur.

Confidence isn?t necessarily an inherent trait; it?s something you can pick up through knowledge and practice. Understanding the market and absorbing information like these tips above can be a great way for you to gain the confidence necessary to play the game. Now all you have to do is win the game!

The writer is actually in the field of business & finance and into forex replicator for years and made a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJjUx4oi1eQ where you may obtain solutions to the rest of your important questions.

Brazil says will cancel Africa debt worth $900 mln

ADDIS ABABA (Reuters) - Brazil will cancel or restructure almost $900 million in debt owed by African countries, a Brazilian official said on Saturday, as part of a plan to increase future funding to the continent.

Latin America's economic powerhouse is increasingly expanding its economic ties with Africa, a sign of how crises in the rich world are pushing faster-growing emerging economies to trade and invest among themselves, economists say.

Brazilian officials said President Dilma Rousseff, visiting Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa to mark the African Union's 50th anniversary, was set to announce a new development agency alongside the cancellation that will offer assistance to African countries.

"Almost all (aid) is cancellation," Thomas Traumann, spokesman of Brazil's presidency, told reporters in Addis Ababa.

Under Brazilian law, Brasilia cannot offer new loans and long-term financial assistance to countries with outstanding debts.

Traumann said most of Brazil's future assistance would target infrastructure, agricultural and social programmes.

Among the 12 countries set to benefit are new gas exploration hotspot Tanzania, which owes Brazil $237 million, along with oil-producing Republic of Congo and copper-rich Zambia.

Most of the debt was accumulated in the 1970s and had been renegotiated previously, Traumann added.

"Brazil has great expertise in what we call tropicalising European crops. We have that technology," he said. "The idea is how to transfer that technology from Brazil to other African countries."

In a sign of Brazil's quest for deeper ties with Africa, Rousseff was making her third visit to the continent in as many months, Traumann added.

The BRICs countries - comprising Brazil, China, India and Russia - are now Africa's largest trading partners and its biggest new group of investors. BRICS-Africa trade is seen eclipsing $500 billion by 2015, according to Standard Bank.

Rocket lifts off with U.S. military communications satellite

By Irene Klotz

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida (Reuters) - An unmanned Delta 4 rocket blasted off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on Friday to put a multi-use, broadband communications satellite into orbit for the U.S. military.

The 217-foot (66-meter) tall rocket lifted off at 8:27 p.m. EDT (0027 Saturday GMT), soaring southeast over the Atlantic Ocean as it headed into orbit.

Perched on top of the rocket was the fifth member of the Wideband Global SATCOM, or WGS, satellite network, which provides the U.S. military, national leaders and allies with high-capacity broadband communications.

The satellites also can be used by remotely piloted aircraft, or drones, and other users simultaneously.

"One WGS satellite has the equivalent capacity of the entire legacy system," David Goldstein, deputy director of military satellite communications at Los Angeles Air Force Base, said during a launch webcast.

The $342 million spacecraft, built by Boeing>, is expected to be joined by five more WGS satellites over the next several years.

Friday's launch was the second in nine days for rocket manufacturer United Launch Alliance, a partnership of Boeing and Lockheed Martin. A United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 rocket carried a Global Positioning System satellite into orbit on May 15.

Friday's launch was the 71st successful flight since the company was formed in December 2006.

The company hasn't flown a Delta 4 since a problem surfaced during a launch in October. That rocket's satellite, another GPS, successful reached its intended orbit despite a leak in the rocket's upper stage engine.

Chicago jury sides with Donald Trump in real estate case | WGN-TV

Donald Trump won a heated court fight today when a federal jury in Chicago awarded no damages to an 87-year-old Evanston grandmother who sued the TV celebrity over a disputed condo deal at his high-rise Chicago hotel.

Jacqueline Goldberg testified the real estate mogul pulled a fast one by yanking financial incentives after she had plunked down a $500,000 deposit on two condos at Trump International Hotel and Tower.

Donald Trump tells WGN news that Goldberg is a ?vicious and sophisticated woman? who was just out for his money.

The jury didn?t buy Goldberg?s accusation that Trump swindled her out of financial incentives tied to her condo deal at Trump Tower.

She says she?s not ruling out an appeal.

He?s threatening to sue her.

Militants release seven Egyptians kidnapped in Sinai

CAIRO (Reuters) - Seven members of the Egyptian security forces kidnapped by Islamist militants in Sinai last week were released on Wednesday, ending a crisis that has highlighted lawlessness in the desert peninsula bordering Israel.

Security sources said the men were freed following talks mediated by Bedouin tribal leaders. They were handed over to the army in an area south of Rafah, a town straddling the border with the Palestinian Gaza Strip.

The kidnappers had demanded the release of members of an Islamist group convicted last September of carrying out a series of attacks in North Sinai in 2011 that killed seven people.

The abduction pointed to the threat still posed by radical Islamists who expanded into a security vacuum in Sinai that the state has struggled to fill since an uprising swept autocrat Hosni Mubarak from power in 2011. The groups have launched attacks on Israel and targets in North Sinai.

"I salute the commanders and soldiers of the armed forces, the police, the general and military intelligence," President Mohamed Mursi wrote on Twitter after the men's release.

A security official in Sinai and a Bedouin sheikh involved in the mediation said the kidnappers' demand had not been met. The militants had decided to release the men because they feared a confrontation with the armed forces, they said.

The crisis had piled domestic pressure on the Islamist president to act and enraged Egyptian security forces who have closed border crossings to Gaza and Israel in protest. Earlier this week, Mursi said there would be no negotiations with militants he described as criminals.

A statement posted on the army spokesman's Facebook page on Wednesday said the seven captives had been freed "as a result of the efforts of the military intelligence in cooperation with the tribal leaders and the honourable people of Sinai" and were on their way to Cairo. It gave no further details.

The army sent reinforcements to Sinai this week as part of its efforts to secure the release of the men - six policemen and one soldier - who were kidnapped last Thursday as they travelled between the North Sinai towns of El-Arish and Rafah.

The Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt - closed for five days by border Egyptian security officers angered at the kidnapping - was reopened early on Wednesday. Two of the captives had worked at the crossing.

Egyptian security forces launched a security operation to re-establish control in Sinai last August after an attack that killed 16 Egyptian border guards.

Addiction as a disorder of decision-making

May 22, 2013 ? New research shows that craving drugs such as nicotine can be visualized in specific regions of the brain that are implicated in determining the value of actions, in planning actions and in motivation. Dr. Alain Dagher, from McGill University, suggests abnormal interactions between these decision-making brain regions could underlie addiction.

These results were presented at the 2013 Canadian Neuroscience Meeting, the annual meeting of the Canadian Association for Neuroscience -- Association Canadienne des Neurosciences (CAN-ACN).

Neuroeconomics is a field of research which seeks to explain decision making in humans based on calculating costs and likely rewards or benefits of choices individuals make. Previous studies have suggested addicted individuals place greater value on immediate rewards (cigarette smoking) over delayed rewards (health benefits). Research done by Dr. Dagher and colleagues show how the value of the drug, which is indicated by the degree of craving, varies based on drug availability, decision to quit and other factors. He also shows that this perceived value of the drug at a given time can be visualized in the brains of addicted individuals by functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), and that imaging results can be used to predict subsequent consumption.

Dr. Dagher showed that a specific brain region called the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (abbreviated DLPFC) regulates cigarette craving in response to drug cues -- seeing people smoke, or smelling cigarettes -- and that these induced cravings could be altered by inactivating the DLPFC by Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). He suggests addiction may result from abberrant connections between the DLFPC and other brain region in susceptible individuals. These results could provide a rational basis for novel interventions to reduce cravings in addicted individuals, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or transcranial stimulation of the DLFPC.

Concluding quote from Dr. Dagher: "Policy debates have often centred on whether addictive behaviour is a choice or a brain disease. This research allows us to view addiction as a pathology of choice. Dysfunction in brain regions that assign value to possible options may lead to choosing harmful behaviours."

Chilly Morning, Great Afternoon

Good morning! ?After yesterday?s severe weather threat that didn?t pan out to be much, today we are rewarded with Chamber of Commerce weather. ?Here?s the email weather update I sent my morning show team this morning. ?Thought it would make a good read for you.

?

This Morning:? 2 Items

  1. Boy, it?s chilly out this morning!? Skies have cleared and temps have dipped into the low 50s for much of Metroplex.? Parts of Dallas County & areas east will be in the upper 50s.
  2. And FOG.? Not thick enough for an advisory, but a few areas will get down to ? mile visibility.? Those would be the usual suspects like McKinney, along 75 in Collin County and along I-30 Grand Prairie or I-20 Arlington.? We won?t deal with low level clouds this morning, so Dallas tower cam shot should look pretty good over the fog layers!

?

Today:? back to normal

  1. Sunny and mild with highs near or slightly above the normal 85 degrees.
  2. Today is going to be a BEAUTIFUL day because the humidity will be low and the breezes light!
  3. Humidity increases starting tomorrow.? The rest of the week and through next week temps should run in the upper 80s to low 90s.

?

Pattern Ahead:

I want to say the pattern looks dry and quiet, but there is a cold front to the north that could trigger storms THURSDAY to the north and with the front over us on FRIDAY and into SATURDAY more storms are possible with the heat of day.? Most activity looking like northern and western areas, so even if storms turn out it likely won?t impact Metroplex.

?

Memorial Day Weekend:? looking like we are hot and humid SAT-SUN-MON with highs each day 91-92.? We may have to put storm chances in forecast for SUN-MON, but for now leaving out until better model agreement.

People choose larger portions of ?healthy' foods

By Kerry Grens

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - People will choose larger portions of food if they are labeled as being "healthier," even if they have the same number of calories, according to a new study.

"People think (healthier food) is lower in calories," said Pierre Chandon, a marketing professor at the INSEAD Social Science Research Center in France, and they "tend to consume more of it."

That misconception can lead to people eating larger portion sizes of so-called healthy foods, and therefore more calories.

"Foods are marketed as being healthier for a reason, because food producers believe, and they correctly believe, that those labels will influence us to eat their products and perhaps eat more of their products," said Dr. Cliodhna Foley Nolan the director of Human Health and Nutrition at Safefood, a government agency in Ireland.

Safefood commissioned the study, led by Barbara Livingstone, a professor at the University of Ulster.

Foley Nolan said that the portion sizes of food have become larger over the years, and Safefood wanted to see whether health and nutrition claims had any influence.

The researchers asked 186 adults to assess the appropriate portion sizes of foods.

Given a bowl of coleslaw, the participants served themselves more of the coleslaw labeled "healthier" than the coleslaw labeled "standard."

For instance, obese men served themselves 103 grams of healthy coleslaw and 86 grams of standard coleslaw.

In reality, the healthy-labeled coleslaw had just as many calories - 941 kilojoules (or 224 calories) for every 100 grams - as the "standard" coleslaw, which had 937 kilojoules (or 223 calories).

Additionally, people tended to underestimate how many calories were in a serving for the "healthier" coleslaw.

The participants most often thought the "healthier" coleslaw contained 477 kilojoules, or 113 calories.

In contrast, they were not far off in estimating the calories in the "standard" coleslaw.

?A CERTAIN LICENSE TO OVEREAT'

Chandon, who was not part of this study, said people tend to stereotype food that might be healthy in one aspect, say, lower in fat, as being healthy in every dimension.

But in fact, food labeled as being healthy is not always lower in calories.

He said one reason why people might overeat healthier foods is because they feel less guilt when they choose a healthier option.

"We think that these kinds of marketing means?of labeling things as being healthier, that it gives us a certain license to overeat and it can be dangerous" with regard to weight gain, Foley Nolan told Reuters Health.

She said the findings will be useful in developing nutrition policies and education campaigns to help people make healthy food choices.

Foley Nolan recommended that people bulk up on fruit and vegetables, rather than processed foods, even if they are labeled as healthy.

Chandon added that shoppers should also look at nutrition labels and calorie content.

"Just pay attention to those (health) claims and don't generalize or stereotype on one (type of) nutritional information," he said.

Board to take look at ND tuition rate plans

FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- The president of the North Dakota Board of Higher Education said Monday he's not sure if the group gave a fair hearing to plans on tuition increases and wants to revisit the idea.

The board approved a plan May 10 that would give colleges the option to raise tuition at various rates, from a low maximum level of 2.13 percent at Lake Region State College to a high maximum mark of 6.63 percent at Williston State. Board members said they liked the flexibility it offered the schools.

The plan passed by a 7-1 vote over another option favored by Chancellor Hamid Shirvani that would keep tuition hikes between 2.18 percent and 4.76 percent.

Board President Duaine Espegard, a retired banker, said Monday he had more time to crunch the numbers after the last meeting and decided it was worth more discussion. A special meeting scheduled Thursday at NDSU is meant to take a second look.

"Upon reflection, when I got home after that meeting, I think about this and say, 'Is that fair?'" Espegard said. "And because this stuff is kind of complicated, I'm not so sure everybody probably fully understood it. I didn't until I took another look."

The state Legislature approved a $900 million higher education budget ? a nearly 12 percent increase over the last biennium ? while sending a message to the board and university leaders to keep tuition costs down. But the funding does not cover nearly $32 million in inflationary costs, which could be covered under the approved plan if colleges max out their tuition limits.

The plan backed by Shirvani would require six of the 11 colleges to find cost savings to meet their budgets, leaving a shortfall of $3.3 million at the University of North Dakota and $2.4 million at North Dakota State University.

"We're not trying to cut anybody," Espegard said. "It's not about efficiency or anything like that. It's doing what's best for the students."

Administration officials from NDSU and UND declined to comment about the Thursday meeting.

Robbie Lauf, president of the NDSU student body, said Monday that he likes the idea of a 2.5 percent tuition cap, but not at the expense of jeopardizing on funding for a new equity model approved by the Legislature.

"You get to the point where you have to deal with reality," Lauf said. "If we have to spend equity dollars on something other than equity, what's the point?"

Tuition was scheduled for debate the morning of the May 10 meeting but was pushed into the afternoon after a long discussion about Shirvani's job performance that wasn't on the original agenda. Shirvani said the meeting became so stretched out that "I don't think I did a good job of explaining" his tuition model.

"I think we should do a little bit better at showing our goodwill and support for students and their families," Shirvani said. "Particularly when you consider that the student debt is very high. They are coming out with debt that is the cost of a house or mortgage. We should give the student a break."

Shirvani said her heard from "a lot of people," including lawmakers and parents of students, who were not happy about the tuition plan approved by the board. Lauf said he has heard no complaints and was surprised to find out about the special meeting.

"I guess I'm curious why they are bringing it up again," Lauf said. "I have been calling around and some board members were just as surprised as we were."
