We are currently seeking talented Business Performance Excellence Executive for our San Antonio, TX facility.

PURPOSE OF JOB

This Business Performance Excellence Executive is responsible for recruiting and developing a high performance team accountable for process design, continuous improvement and change management of the mortgage, home equity, and mover's advantage business unit service delivery processes. This Executive is responsible for the development and maintenance of short term and strategic capability roadmaps reflecting people, process and technology changes required to achieve business unit objectives. The Business Performance Excellence Executive influences strategy, business effort prioritization and drives process maturity, improvements and innovation. This position ensures effective implementation of changes in alignment with well defined strategies and provides executive oversight and authority on multi-million dollar technology projects and portfolios.

JOB DUTIES

Process Improvement. Consultative and proactive responsibility focused on continuous improvement across multiple Banking Services product and functional areas. Collaborates with business leaders to translate USAA strategies into an operating plan of prioritized efforts aligned to USAA and product/functional area strategic plans. Delivers on prioritized efforts and improves operational performance by applying process engineering disciplines and Six Sigma tools. Influences product and operational executives to achieve process maturity with repeatable and reliable processes to minimize complexity, variation and waste, and to enhance the member experience, profitability and regulatory compliance.
Change Management. Enhances end to end operational performance across multiple products, channels and functions through the implementation of adequate controls, tools & resources, and consistent, repeatable and reliable communication and planning routines. Identifies tactical improvement needs and assesses the complexity and potential resistance of the related operational changes. Assesses and modifies plans based on experiences and changes to goals, skills, behaviors and outcomes. Partners with resources across the Bank and Enterprise to enhance outcomes.
Project Execution. Executive oversight, decision authority, and program leadership for strategic program portfolio journey/roadmap, program planning and execution. Ensures focus on scope, refinement, and maturity of program. Accountable for the timely delivery and conformance to budget for multi-million dollar annual technology investments. Influence leader over USAA IT, third party IT, and business resources during all project phases. Accountable to business leaders for delivering upon agreed upon scope and responsible for board level portfolio reporting. Leads the team responsible for the identification and delivery of business requirements and delivery of all project and program artifacts required by the Business Manager and Change Manager roles in the USAA technology delivery process (BPMP).
Team Leadership. Recruits, retains and develops a high performing team including Director(s), Manager(s) and individual contributors. Responsible for developing team member who can be exported to other business units and provide value to the extended USAA team.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
10+ years of relevant experience with at least 5+ years mortgage process engineering, process design, process improvement, or project delivery.
7+ years of experience in a consumer service delivery model.
5+ years of change management experience in a large, complex mortgage business with multiple product or multiple business unit environment.
Experience in financial services, health care, transportation or similar highly regulated industry.
Direct supervisory experience managing multiple layers.
Preferred

Masters Degree (MBA) or advanced degree.
Previous responsibility for retail customer service experience design and/or voice of the member process.
Proven ability to lead through influence, leading delivery in highly complex organization structures across boundaries without direct accountability for everyone on the team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills across multiple audiences from front line employees to C-Level and similar senior executives.
