TriNetto acquire outsourcing company

LAKEWOOD RANCH -- A cloud-based provider of on-demand HR services has executed a definitive agreement to acquire Strategic Outsourcing Inc. from Clarion Capital Partners, LLC.

TriNet's acquisition of SOI will enable the company to offer a multi-product professional employer organization service that will better meet the needs of entrepreneurs and small businesses, the company said.

Based in San Leandro, Calif., the firm has a regional sales office on Town Center Parkway in Lakewood Ranch. The company laid off 21 local workers as part a staff downsizing last year.

Shopping center salenets $25.6 million

MANATEE -- An Atlanta firm has sold the Centre Point Commons shopping center on 14th Street in Bradenton for $25.6 million.

Inland Diversified Bradenton Centre Point LLC acquired the plaza Sept. 5 from Centre Point Commons LLC.

The center sits on the northwest corner Cortez Road and 14th Street West. Anchors includeLowe's, Office Max, Dick's Sporting Goods and Best Buy. It also is home to a Jersey Mikes and Panera Bread.

USF to use M3 Accounting hospitality software

SARASOTA -- The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee is partnering with M3 Accounting Services, using its hotel accounting software for hands-on hospitality management training.

The educational software is programmed with one month of data for a hypothetical 100-room hotel. Through the coursework, hospitality accounting and finance students learn to analyze data and make management decisions based on simulated scenarios.

"With M3 University, students will virtually step into the role of hotel management," said Dr. Cihan Cobanoglu, dean of USF Sarasota-Manatee College of Hospitality and Technology Leadership. "They will perform the tasks of the accounting department's night auditor and paymaster, and use analytics to make operational and general management decisions."
